Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Years Teacher Assistant to support our Academics Department. The ideal candidate will assist homeroom teachers in delivering play-based learning experiences, ensuring a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for our youngest learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the homeroom teacher in planning and conducting age-appropriate, play-based activities.
• Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through interactive learning.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Provide individual attention and care to students where needed.
• Assist with classroom management using positive reinforcement strategies.
• Support learning through storytelling, games, and hands-on activities.
• Help prepare teaching materials, resources, and classroom displays.
• Communicate with teachers and staff regarding student needs and progress.
• Ensure adherence to school policies and early years standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Education or Early Childhood Education; Diploma/Certification in Early Years will be an advantage).
• 1–2 years of experience working with young children in a classroom or daycare setting.
• Understanding of early childhood development and play-based learning.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with children and parents.
• Patient, caring, and enthusiastic personality with a love for working with young learners.
• Good organizational and teamwork skills.
