Teacher Assistant for Babies and Pre-K

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Teacher Assistant to support our Babies (6:30-9:30am) OR our Pre-K students (3:30-6:00pm. In this vital role, you will collaborate with lead teachers to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment that promotes early childhood development. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a love of learning in our youngest students while ensuring their individual needs are met with care and professionalism.

Duties

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans focused on early childhood education topics such as literacy, math, and social skills
  • Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment and encouraging appropriate behavior among children
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and physical development
  • Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials and maintaining cleanliness
  • Provide attentive toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and supervising playtime
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt lessons for children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a cohesive educational experience

Experience

  • Prior classroom experience working with young children in childcare or preschool settings is preferred
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in childcare
  • Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and behavior management techniques
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
