Job Title: Fine Arts Teacher

Reporting To: Head of Department / Principal

Location: Sanskriti School, Bhukum, Pune

Job Summary:

The Fine Arts Teacher will be responsible for developing students’ artistic skills . The role involves planning, organizing, and delivering a comprehensive fine arts curriculum aligned with CBSE guidelines while fostering creativity, self-expression, and aesthetic awareness among students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver art lessons in accordance with the CBSE curriculum and school guidelines for different grade levels.
  • Teach various art forms such as drawing, painting, sculpture, crafts, and other creative mediums.
  • Encourage and guide students in developing their individual artistic style and skills.
  • Organize and display student artwork around the school and during exhibitions, annual functions, or art fairs.
  • Integrate art with other subjects and promote interdisciplinary learning.
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment tools to evaluate student progress.
  • Identify and nurture artistic talent; mentor students for inter-school and intra-school competitions.
  • Maintain an inspiring, well-organized art classroom and manage art supplies efficiently.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan school events, celebrations, and thematic displays.
  • Stay updated with new trends, techniques, and technologies in visual arts education.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fine Arts (BFA/MFA) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • B.Ed. preferred, especially for higher-grade teaching.
  • Prior experience (minimum 2–5 years) in teaching Fine Arts in a CBSE or reputed school setup.
  • Strong portfolio of personal or student artwork will be an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Passion for teaching and nurturing creativity in children.
  • Strong artistic, visual, and aesthetic sensibilities.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to adapt lessons for diverse learning needs and age groups.
  • Team player with a positive and collaborative attitude.
  • Proficiency in digital tools for art creation (optional but preferred).

Compensation: Attractive salary package commensurate with qualifications and experience.
