Teacher for Afterschool Center

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher for our Afterschool Center who will provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess strong classroom management skills. This role involves planning and implementing educational activities that promote childhood development while fostering creativity and personal growth in a supportive atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with educational standards and cater to the diverse needs of students.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a positive learning environment.
• Supervise students during activities, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Foster relationships with students to encourage their social, emotional, and academic growth.
• Collaborate with parents and staff to communicate student progress and address any concerns.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to first aid protocols and emergency procedures.
• Organize recreational activities such as sports, arts, theater, and tutoring sessions that promote teamwork and skill development.
• Assist in the development of individualized education plans for students with special needs when applicable.

Experience

• Proven experience working with children in various settings such as school, daycare, camps, or afterschool programs is essential.
• Strong background in early childhood education or related fields is preferred.
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies to support childhood development is highly desirable.
• Skills in tutoring is considered a plus.
