Teacher - Geography

Job Description:

A Geography teacher for PSC (Public Service Commission) coaching is responsible for delivering subject-oriented classes that align with the Kerala PSC syllabus and exam pattern. The role involves teaching both physical and human geography, focusing on facts, concepts, and exam-specific topics to prepare students for competitive examinations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Syllabus-Based Teaching:

Deliver classes covering PSC-relevant topics such as Indian Geography, World Geography, Kerala Geography, Climate, Agriculture, Industries, Population, and Environmental studies.

• Exam-Oriented Focus:

Train students to answer both objective (MCQ) and descriptive questions by emphasizing accuracy, clarity, and speed.

• Study Material Preparation:

Develop concise notes, handouts, maps, and question banks tailored to PSC exam patterns.

• Mock Tests & Practice:

Conduct regular tests, previous year paper discussions, and model exams to improve student performance.

• Concept Simplification:

Break down complex geographic concepts into simple, understandable points for effective learning.

• Doubt Clearance:

Provide individual guidance and clear doubts related to syllabus topics, current affairs in geography, and exam strategies.

• Use of Visual Aids:

Incorporate maps, charts, and diagrams to make sessions interactive and exam-relevant.

• Current Affairs Integration:

Relate static geography topics with current events (climate change, disasters, policies, etc.) relevant for PSC exams.

• Performance Monitoring:

Track student progress, give feedback, and suggest personalized strategies for improvement.

• Motivation & Guidance:

Encourage students to stay consistent in preparation and provide guidance on time management for exams.
