Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Grade 2 Homeroom Teacher to join our Academics Department. The ideal candidate will possess strong pedagogical skills, a deep understanding of child development, and a commitment to creating an engaging, student-centered classroom that nurtures curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver creative and engaging lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and learning standards.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages respect, collaboration, and curiosity.
  • Integrate STEM-based and inquiry-driven learning approaches into daily lessons.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
  • Regularly assess, record, and report on student progress and achievement.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student development, progress, and classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with subject specialists and grade-level colleagues to ensure cohesive lesson planning and interdisciplinary learning.
  • Maintain classroom discipline through positive behavior management strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to school policies and uphold professional and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant field (B.Ed. or equivalent preferred).
  • 2–3 years of teaching experience at the primary level, preferably in Grade 2 or lower elementary grades.
  • Strong understanding of child-centered teaching and modern instructional methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to design engaging lesson plans that promote creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
  • Effective classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with educational technology and digital learning tools.
