Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated School Teacher to join our team at The Windward School in <LOCATION>. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality education to students with language-based learning disabilities, helping them achieve their full potential and thrive in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging curriculum tailored to meet the needs of students with language-based learning disabilities.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
  • Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational programs and share best practices.
  • Assess student progress and adapt instructional strategies accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student needs and progress.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching practices.
  • Support the emotional and social development of students through mentorship and guidance.

Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's preferred).

  • Valid teaching certification for the state of <STATE>.
  • Proven experience in teaching, particularly in special education or literacy education.
  • Strong skills in curriculum development and lesson planning.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations is a plus.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
