Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher – Islamic Studies & Social Studies to join our Academics Department. The ideal candidate will have expertise in teaching Islamic Studies and Social Studies, with the ability to foster moral values, critical thinking, cultural awareness, and civic responsibility among middle years learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Islamic Studies and Social Studies aligned with the school’s curriculum.
• Teach core Islamic concepts including Qur’an, Hadith, Seerah, Fiqh, Islamic history, and values-based education.
• Develop students’ understanding of history, geography, culture, and civic concepts in Social Studies.
• Use project-based learning, discussions, and interactive activities to encourage independent thinking and reflection.
• Integrate Islamic teachings and global perspectives to make learning meaningful and relevant.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and classroom resources to support learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular and interdisciplinary projects.
• Incorporate educational technology and interactive tools to enrich classroom instruction.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment while ensuring discipline, respect, and Islamic values.
• Ensure compliance with school policies and educational standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Islamic Studies, Social Sciences, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of teaching experience at the middle school level (Grades 6–8).
• Strong knowledge of Islamic pedagogy and Social Studies curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students and parents.
• Ability to inspire curiosity, moral development, critical thinking, and cultural awareness.
• Strong organizational, classroom management, and assessment skills.
• Familiarity with educational technology and innovative teaching methods.
