<p>We are seeking a welcoming, organized, and service-oriented Office Assistant to serve as a key member of our front desk and administrative support team. This role is often the first point of contact for clients, families, community members, and partners, making professionalism, warmth, and strong communication essential.</p></div>

Empowering children with visual impairments from birth to age 6, the Teacher of the Visually Impaired at Vision Forward collaborates closely with families and multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized education plans. Through home visits, assessments, and adaptive learning strategies—including braille instruction—this role ensures every child’s developmental needs are met in inclusive environments.

Office Assistant

Knowledge of ocular conditions and cortical visual impairment

Conducting functional vision evaluations

Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) development

Individualized Education Plan (IEP) development

Braille literacy and adaptive equipment use

Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

Documentation in electronic medical records

Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)

HIPAA and FERPA compliance

Continuing education
