Responsibilities

  • Design and implement age-appropriate curriculum development tailored to toddler developmental stages, including literacy education, early intervention strategies, and physical activity.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior management techniques that promote respect, independence, and social skills.
  • Engage children in meaningful activities that support childhood development milestones, including motor skills, language acquisition, and cognitive growth.
  • Maintain detailed lesson planning to ensure consistent educational progress aligned with early childhood education standards.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, behavioral observations, and developmental needs.
  • Support children with special education needs by applying inclusive teaching practices and early intervention methods.
  • Ensure compliance with childcare regulations and standards related to child welfare, safety protocols, and daycare licensing requirements.

Qualifications

  • Proven classroom experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting, preferably with toddlers or preschool-aged children.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
  • Experience in curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and Montessori or other specialized teaching methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment tools.
  • Background in special education or early intervention programs is a plus.
  • Certification in early childhood education or equivalent credentials; additional training in toddler care or preschool teaching is preferred. Pay: $15.15 - $16.00 per hour
