Teacher/Actor for Laser Show School Assemblies

Be a Science Rock Star! Prismatic Magic LLC, a pioneer of assembly programs for schools, is searching for an outgoing individual who wants to entertain and inspire children. An ideal candidate is one who is looking to visit local schools and dazzle young audiences. Experience in children's theater is a plus.

Your location is very flexible. The position is home-based, with regional travel. Applicants should live within roughly 45 minutes of Newark, DE or along the I-95 corridor between Baltimore, MD and Cherry Hill, NJ. Territory includes MD, DE, SE Pennsylvania, and South NJ. You start from home and travel to schools; no office reporting.

Primary Duty:

• Perform our school laser-light presentations in southern New England. BASED FROM HOME. Daytime local travel the norm, with occasional evenings, weekends, and travel. Occasional week-long trips to Chicago. Company covers all travel expenses.

Qualifications: Ability to speak clearly and enthusiastically to large groups of children; experience in teaching, public speaking, or theater a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Enthusiastically perform for large groups of excited school children.
• Assemble/transport/disassemble portable laser system daily.
• Lead discussions and demonstrations for educational laser-light shows.
• Responsibly operate a company vehicle (small commercial van).

• Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills essential.
• A valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
• Able to lift and carry 45 lbs short distances.
