Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour

About Us

Studio ArtHaus is a creative art studio in the Carmel Mountain/Poway area where kids and teens explore drawing, painting, ceramics, and mixed media in a relaxed, supportive setting. We care more about creativity, confidence, and community than perfection — and we're looking for someone who lights up around kids, loves being in a creative space, and has a good eye for capturing the magic that happens here every day.

The Role

This is a fun, hands-on role with three creative hats. Some of your time is spent in the classroom helping our lead teachers and our students, some is spent keeping the studio running smoothly and looking beautiful, and some is spent behind the camera and on our social accounts, telling the ArtHaus story.

If you're the kind of person who notices the perfect moment when a five-year-old is covered in paint and beaming, knows how to turn that into a great reel, and also doesn't mind washing a few brushes afterward — you might be exactly who we're looking for.

What You'll Do

In the classroom (Teaching Assistant)

• Support our lead teachers during small-group classes for kids (5 & up) and teens
• Help students one-on-one when they get stuck, circulate the room, and keep the energy positive
• Prep and pass out materials, and help keep things organized while class is in motion

Around the studio (Studio Assistant)

• Help with setup, organization, and cleanup before and after classes
• Keep materials stocked, sorted, and ready to go
• Welcome families warmly at drop-off and pickup
• Pitch in at camps, workshops, birthday parties, and special events (school breaks, summers, and some weekends)

Behind the camera (Social Media Creator)

• Capture photos and short videos of classes, projects, and studio life
• Create fun, on-brand posts and reels for Instagram and Facebook
• Help us grow our online presence and show families what makes ArtHaus special

Who We're Looking For

• Some experience working with kids (teaching, tutoring, camps, babysitting, after-school — it all counts)
• A genuine love of art and creativity (formal art training is a plus, but a strong creative eye matters more)
• Comfortable with a phone camera and social media — bonus points if you've used Canva, CapCut, or edited reels before
• Friendly, warm, and great with both kids and parents
• Patient, reliable, punctual, and a true team player
• Reliable transportation
• Able to pass a background check and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Willing to commit for at least a year if it's a good mutual fit

Schedule

• Monday–Friday afternoons and Saturdays, with hours that can flex depending on availability and the right fit
• Some weekend and event hours for parties and workshops
• Sunday availability is optional but a plus for events

Compensation & Perks

• Paid two-week training period
• $20.00–$25.00/hour after training, based on experience and performance
