Summary:
The Team Lead, Behavioral Health Clinical Program is a Master’s prepared provider with demonstrated leadership abilities and clinical excellence. This individual serves as the primary resource for clinicians on site. The Team Lead, Behavioral Health Clinical Program is responsible for role optimization, onboarding of new team members, advocacy, and acting as the primary liaison with the Manager, Behavioral Health Clinical Program. This position is held concurrently with clinical practice in the respective specialty. The Team Lead, Behavioral Health Clinical Program is assigned by the Manager, Behavioral Health Clinical Program to provide clinical supervision following the following the guidelines of the Department of Safety and Professionals Services and the evidence-based models provided at the clinics. This individual will assure quality patient care through monitoring fidelity to evidence-based models, as assigned by the Manager. The Team Lead, Behavioral Health Clinical Program would attend to patient crisis situations as needed and work collaboratively with the Manager to assist in advocacy and implementation of advanced practice models of care. The Team Lead will represent team clinicians in addressing significant issues and barriers affective clinical practice, safety, quality and professionalism for Behavioral Health clinicians. This individual will address on-site issues through demonstration of strong problem-solving abilities and good judgement and proactively serve as point person for communicating with leadership, including the Manager, and other relevant parties. The Team Lead will collaborate with the Manager to develop and implement orientation, perform competency assessments, and mentor new Behavioral Health team members, as well as practicum and intern students. This individual will inform the Manager of any Human Resources issues that arise, provide detailed input on clinicians for performance reviews as well as assist the Manager with coordination of the performance review process and program for team members they lead. The Team Lead will coordinate staffing coverage with clinicians on site and facility approval of clinical time and attendance records.
Requirements:
Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a mental health related field. Must possess excellent verbal and written skills. Should have thorough working knowledge of professional ethics, standards, and relevant state and federal laws. Demonstrates understanding of etiology and dynamics of psychopathology, current diagnostic terminology, and psychiatric and psychological treatments. Sophistication required in interviewing, report writing, clinical assessment and consultation with clinical staff required. Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Mental Health Therapist is required. Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Mental Health Therapist in a Health Care setting specifically, Clinical Psychology, Substance Abuse treatment, Clinical Mental Health Counseling or Clinical Social Work, or Integrated Care is preferred. Prior experience working in a lead role/capacity is also preferred.
