Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Day-to-Day Accounting Operations

  • Ensure all daily accounting activities (AP, AR, bank entries, journal entries, petty cash, inventory accounting) are completed accurately and on time.
  • Review and approve daily vouchers, invoices, payments, credit notes, and journal entries.
  • Oversee vendor reconciliation, customer reconciliation, and monthly ledger scrutiny.
  • Ensure timely monthly closing — expense booking, revenue recognition, stock adjustments, GRN accounting, provisions, and accruals.

2. Manufacturing Accounting Knowledge

  • Handle product costing, BOM costing, consumption reports, wastage/yield analysis.
  • Coordinate with plant/production teams for daily production data and stock movement reports.
  • Ensure accurate accounting of WIP, raw materials, finished goods, and scrap.
  • Support costing-related MIS and variance analysis for production.

3. Compliance & Timely Filings

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST, TDS, PT, and other statutory returns.
  • Ensure payment of taxes and statutory dues within deadlines.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation required for audits and inspections.
  • Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors and resolve audit queries.

4. Reporting & MIS

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports including:
  • Cash flow statements
  • Debtors/creditors ageing
  • Inventory reports
  • Costing reports
  • Expense analysis
  • Sales and collection reports
  • Variance analysis
  • Present key financial insights and exceptions to management.

5. Team Management

  • Lead, guide, and supervise a team of 8–10 accountants.
  • Allocate daily tasks and ensure timely completion of activities.
  • Review team outputs and ensure accuracy in all accounting work.
  • Train team members on processes, compliance requirements, and best practices.
  • Drive discipline, ownership, and timely delivery within the finance team.

6. Process Control & Improvements

  • Ensure SOPs for all accounting processes are followed.
  • Strengthen internal controls across accounting, cash handling, inventory, and compliance.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and streamline workflows.

Qualifications:

● 5-8 years experience working in Accounting role

● Strong communication skills - both in person and remotely

● Team player with entrepreneurial mindset

● Experience in Tally/Zoho/Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
