A Team Lead – Last Mile Operations at Delhivery is a mid-level on-site logistics role responsible for managing and supervising the last mile delivery segment — the final step where packages are delivered from a local hub/dispatch center to the end customer. The person in this role ensures that deliveries happen on time, efficiently, and according to quality standards.
Core Responsibilities
✔ Supervise Daily Last Mile Activities
Oversee the day-to-day delivery operations, including planning, dispatching, and ensuring timely deliveries to customers.
✔ Team Management & Leadership
Lead a team of delivery associates / riders / frontline delivery personnel, assign tasks, monitor their performance, motivate them, and guide them to meet targets.
✔ Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Track key metrics like turnaround time (TAT), delivery success rates, efficiency, and quality standards — and take corrective actions when goals are not met.
✔ Route & Workflow Optimization
Help with planning delivery routes, managing shipment allocation, and optimizing workflows to improve operational productivity.
Issue Resolution
Resolve on-ground operational challenges or customer concerns related to late, failed, or problematic deliveries.
Coordination Across Teams
Collaborate with internal functions such as dispatch centers, operations managers, inventory teams, and customer support to ensure seamless last-mile execution.
