Our client is a globally oriented organization driving enterprise digital transformation and operational excellence through stable, scalable SAP platforms.

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead – SAP EWM Basis to build, manage, and develop a high-performing team in Chennai while ensuring the stability, scalability, and efficiency of the SAP EWM platform and supporting rollouts to additional factories.

Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a team of six SAP Basis consultants, ensuring delivery of high-quality support and project work for the SAP EWM system
Oversee and report on daily operations, including incident management, change management, and system monitoring, to ensure stability and performance
Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategy
Collaborate with HR and other departments to address compliance, employee relations, and team development
Drive recruitment, onboarding, and integration of new team members as the team expands
Set clear goals, monitor KPIs, and ensure continuous improvement in service delivery and customer satisfaction
Act as the escalation point for complex technical and operational issues, coordinating with global teams as required
Foster a culture of feedback, open communication, and professional growth within the team
Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
Support integration between the Chennai team and the European SAP Basis team, contributing to global SAP initiatives
Work closely with the manager of the overall SAP Basis team

Requirements (Must-have)
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 12 years of management and SAP Basis experience
Deep understanding of SAP Basis technologies, including system architecture, upgrades, and performance tuning
Experience with ITIL processes and best practices in IT service management
Strong leadership and people management skills with proven ability to build and motivate teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with cross-cultural teams
High integrity, accountability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
Strong project management skills and familiarity with global delivery models

Nice-to-have
Masters degree preferred
