About Us:

The Goat Trust is a renowned non-profit organization working towards the welfare of marginalized communities. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader (Accounts & Finance) to lead our finance team and ensure effective financial management and reporting.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned finance professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a reputed not-for-profit organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and reporting, with experience of best practices in NGOs. The person should be able to lead a team of 6 accountants and support staff, and report directly to the Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance

- Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts

- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, donor regulations, and organizational policies

- Implement and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures

- Manage audit processes, including statutory audits and donor audits

- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making

- Collaborate with program teams to ensure effective financial management and reporting

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Qualifications:

- CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance) or equivalent

- 5 years of experience in a reputed not-for-profit organization

- Experience of best practices in NGOs accounting and reporting

- Audit experience preferred

- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory requirements

- Excellent communication and leadership skills

Skills:

- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, etc.)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

- Excellent team management and leadership skills

Package:

- Salary: ₹5-8 lakh per annum

- Other benefits as per organizational policy
