Team Member / Barista

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated team member/barista to join our team. As a team member/barista, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional experiences for our customers. You will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages and desserts, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and providing outstanding customer service. Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards.
• Be able to pipe cannoli and plate desserts such as cheesecakes, tiramisu, etc
• Be able to make milkshakes and affogato
• Assist with food prep like cannoli, cheesecakes, and tiramisu
• Be able to work by yourself on certain shifts while being able to make orders quickly, accurately, and provide great customer service.
• Operate cash registers efficiently, handling customer transactions with accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
• Ensure adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service delivery.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a barista is REQUIRED.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Basic math skills for handling cash register transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Available to work Friday and Saturday nights.
• A willingness to learn about pastry techniques is highly valued.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
