Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial trucks across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and security
• Drive various types of trucks including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks based on delivery requirements
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate route planning and ensure timely deliveries while optimizing fuel efficiency
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before and after each shift
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse personnel to confirm delivery schedules and handle any logistical adjustments

Experience

• Proven truck driving experience with a focus on freight delivery in a team environment
• Familiarity with driving manual transmission vehicles and operating specialized equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is preferred
• Experience handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or other specialized freight is highly valued
• Knowledge of load securing techniques for various cargo types to ensure safety during transit
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle types operated (e.g., tanker endorsement)
• Strong understanding of route driving best practices, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance for commercial trucking

Pay: $1,800.00 - $2,500.00 per week
