Lychee is the leading player in the rapidly growing healthy food industry in Egypt, with a unique and highly scalable position in the market that combines a healthy fast- food retail arm and a manufacturing arm for healthy packaged foods. Most notably fresh juices and Greek yogurt.

As part of our greater mission to make healthier food choices accessible and sustainable for people's everyday lifestyle - we're extending our commitment to the region with our entry into the Saudi Arabian market, with a substantial retail expansion plan and on-ground operations starting Q2, 2025 in Riyadh.

Lychee relies on both its manufacturing capabilities and brand recognition built over a decade to expand its retail operations seamlessly based on customer demand and to scale its existing presence in modern trade, traditional trade and quick commerce.

What will you be doing?

• Product Collaboration: Work closely with the Product Owner to translate business requirements into technical solutions, and contribute to product strategy with a technical perspective.
• Help scope features, estimate timelines, and define MVP vs future phases
• Lead and mentor a team of app developers and QA/QC testers
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Write high-quality, production-ready code
• Develop and maintain the app’s architecture, ensuring scalability and performance
• Design scalable backend systems (APIs, databases, integrations)
• Oversee the integration of ERP and POS systems into the app
• Set up CI/CD pipelines and development workflows
• Implement best practices in software development, including security, quality assurance and version control.
• Ensure data security and compliance where needed
• Lead technical decision-making and trade-offs
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to inform future developments
• Ensure timely and efficient delivery of features

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of Software development, with focus on mobile or web applications; preferably, experience in FMCG or F&B industries.
• Strong understanding of front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks) and back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, Ruby).
• Experience with cloud-based services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and databases (e.g., SQL)
• Proven experience of working on Flutter projects
• Previous experience integrating ERP and POS systems is a plus.
• Proficient in version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies is advantageous
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
