Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic technician to join our manufacturing facility team. This role is vital in maintaining and troubleshooting a wide range of industrial equipment, ensuring smooth operations across various production lines. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, HVAC systems, and industrial machinery
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using schematics, multimeters (Ammeter, Ohmmeter), and analysis skills
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control automated processes
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, maintenance history, and inventory management
- Conduct field service activities on-site, including welding (<LOCATION> welding if applicable), mechanical adjustments, and calibration of precision measuring instruments
- Support technical sales efforts by providing technical expertise on equipment capabilities and maintenance solutions
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to high voltage, low voltage, and industrial electrician practices
- Use scissor lifts and other access equipment safely for maintenance tasks at elevated heights
- Assist in troubleshooting HVAC/R systems to optimize climate control within the facility
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an industrial mechanic or maintenance role within a manufacturing facility
- Strong electrical experience with knowledge of high voltage and low voltage systems
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation controls
- Hands-on experience with hydraulics, welding (<LOCATION> welding if applicable), and mechanical repairs
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, calipers, and micrometers
- Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance management
- Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and mechanical drawings effectively
- Excellent analysis skills for troubleshooting complex electrical or mechanical issues
- Industrial electrician experience preferred; military background a plus for discipline and technical training
- Strong customer service orientation when collaborating with internal teams or external vendors
- Fluent in English with good communication skills to document work clearly and follow safety protocols
