Technical Business Analyst

Job Description:

This position requires strong business analysis, technical and functional writing skills along with the ability to apply proven project management, communication, and problem-solving skills to maximize the benefit of IT systems, practices and procedures in an Agile development environment. This role will carry the expectation to absorb and retain information quickly, specifically complex functional and technical information.

• Identifying, minimizing and mitigating exposure and risk
• Develop, standardize and maintain new or improved processes based on findings and analysis
• Analyze IT project requirements and prepare requirements documentation.
• Developing written specifications about the organization’s business systems to be read by both technical and non-technical personnel across all departments
• Assist in identifying test scenarios and coordinate with QA on testing technical projects
• Liaise with internal and external customers to define business procedures and establish documentation needs
• Develop solid documentation for the work being done, identifying challenges and risks as well as coordinating handoffs between multiple vendors and departments for various tasks within the project.
• Work directly with IT team members, vendors, other project leads, and ongoing operations to deliver successful implementation and manage project scope.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, in accordance with defined quality management practices, to achieve common objectives.
• Prepare and effectively communicate project reports and updates to management
• Facilitate the resolution of issues.
• Escalate issues to project stakeholders as required
• Ensure all appropriate documentation, requirements, design and test specifications and other required deliverables are created and reviewed/approved by external and internal stakeholders.
• Collect and present performance information related to infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with payment processing systems

Key Responsibilities:

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT related field.
• Proficient with PowerPoint, Visio and MS Project.
• Experience in writing technical documents for developer use.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience managing IT projects.
• Ability to work independently once assigned a task
• Agile development philosophy
• Highly self-motivated and willing to tackle new challenges.
• Proficient User Story Creation
• Payment Processing experience
