Technical Content Writer

Job description

We’re looking for a detail-oriented UX & Technical Content Writer to craft clear, concise, and user-friendly content across our mobile and web applications. You will work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to simplify both user interactions and complex technical concepts. Your work will directly impact usability, developer adoption, and overall product experience—especially in high-stakes environments like fintech.

Responsibilities:

  • Write and optimize UX microcopy (buttons, CTAs, form fields, error states, tooltips, onboarding flows, empty states).

  • Create and maintain API documentation , developer guides, and technical manuals.

  • Develop product documentation including feature guides, help center articles, and FAQs.

  • Produce feature announcements, release notes, and technical newsletters .

  • Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers by reviewing wireframes and Figma files to ensure copy aligns with design systems and interaction patterns.

  • Work with product managers and engineers to understand features and translate them into clear, user-friendly content.

  • Apply UX writing principles (clarity, brevity, accessibility, empathy) to guide user behavior and reduce friction.

  • Simplify complex concepts such as APIs, transactions, security flows, and compliance messaging into actionable language.

  • Ensure consistency in tone, voice, and terminology across UI, documentation, and marketing touchpoints.

  • Iterate on content through rapid cycles (draft → feedback → refinement) based on user feedback and analytics.

  • Contribute to improving user experience, engagement, and conversion rates through effective content.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in UX writing, technical writing, or content design for SaaS or digital products.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing microcopy + API documentation + product/feature content .

  • Experience writing developer-focused content (REST APIs, authentication, endpoints, etc.).

  • Excellent English writing skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.

  • Solid understanding of UX principles, user psychology, and accessibility standards (including screen readers).

  • Familiarity with tools like Figma, Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, Markdown, Git, or documentation platforms .

  • Understanding of software development concepts, APIs, and product workflows .

  • Ability to manage multiple content types across UI, documentation, and communication channels .

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in fintech or compliance-heavy products .

  • Knowledge of SEO and content optimization .

  • Basic technical knowledge (e.g., JSON, HTTP, SDKs ).

  • Experience working in agile or cross-functional teams .
