The Role

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Designer with a strong background in theme park and custom fabrication. The Designer will be responsible for developing shop drawings, sheet sets, and 3D models that accurately translate creative intent into buildable solutions. This role requires strong technical skills, an understanding of fabrication methods, and the ability to collaborate with project managers, department leads, and CNC machinists to ensure design intent is clear, accurate, and achievable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed shop drawings, sheet sets, and fabrication packages that meet client and internal standards.
  • Develop accurate 3D models using AutoCAD, Fusion 360, and other relevant software.
  • Apply knowledge of client CAD standards to ensure deliverables are compliant and consistent.
  • Incorporate strong hardware and attachment details into designs to ensure builds are practical and durable.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, CNC machinists, and department leads to clearly communicate design intent.
  • Create and provide custom CNC workfiles to support machining and fabrication processes.
  • Translate creative concepts into technical, buildable solutions that support fabrication and installation.
  • Solve design challenges quickly and effectively with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Ensure accuracy, clarity, and constructability in all drawing and design work.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input to optimize build methods, materials, and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in theme park design-build and custom fabrication (required).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Fusion 360, and 3D modeling software.
  • Strong portfolio of shop drawings, sheet sets, and technical design work.
  • Knowledge of client CAD standards and drafting protocols.
  • In-depth understanding of fabrication processes, CNC workflows, hardware, and attachment details.
  • Strong design-build mindset, with the ability to balance creative vision and technical requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines and communicate clearly with both creative and technical teams.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
