Technical Designer - Architecture

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Technical Designer specializing in Architecture to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be instrumental in translating conceptual ideas into precise technical drawings and models, supporting the entire project lifecycle from initial design through construction. Responsibilities

• Develop detailed technical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, and NavisWorks to support design development and construction documentation.
• Coordinate with project teams to establish project schedules, budgets, and timelines, ensuring seamless integration of design intent with construction feasibility.
• Utilize Bluebeam for markup reviews, document management, and collaboration with clients and contractors.
• Assist in construction estimating and budgeting processes by providing accurate material takeoffs and cost evaluations.
• Engage in business development activities by preparing compelling presentations using Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch to showcase design concepts to clients.
• Participate actively in construction management efforts including site visits, renovation planning, contract negotiations, and construction oversight.
• Support project management tasks such as drafting specifications, managing contracts, tracking project progress via scheduling tools, and ensuring adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with architectural drafting and modeling software including AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, NavisWorks, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of construction processes including renovation projects and interior design principles.
• Skilled in project scheduling, construction estimating, budgeting, and contract management.
• Excellent negotiation skills for working with clients, contractors, and vendors to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Familiarity with construction management practices such as site supervision and coordination of multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to produce precise technical drawings while balancing creativity with technical accuracy.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and presenting ideas clearly. Pay: $92,131.10 - $110,953.59 per year
