Technical Engineer - Mechanical ( For MEP Division)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Technical Engineer - Mechanical to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical systems for high-rise construction projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and review mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications for high-rise projects.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, and contractors to ensure design alignment with project requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and support during the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical design and installation issues.
• Evaluate and recommend suitable materials, equipment, and technologies for mechanical systems.
• Ensure that selected items meet project specifications and comply with local regulations and codes.
• Monitor the installation and performance of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
• Ensure that work is executed according to approved designs and project schedules.
• Ensure all mechanical works comply with local authority regulations (e.g., Dubai Municipality, DEWA, and Civil Defence).
• Conduct quality control checks and prepare reports to address any discrepancies.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation related to mechanical systems.
• Maintain comprehensive records of technical drawings, approvals, and revisions.
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.
• Act as a liaison between the design and construction teams to address technical challenges.

Qualifications and Experience and Skills:

Experience: Minimum 6-8 years of experience in mechanical engineering roles, with a focus on high-rise construction projects in Dubai or the GCC region.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.

Certifications: Professional certifications (e.g., LEED, PMP) are an advantage.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems in high-rise construction, including HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM.
• Familiarity with local regulations, codes, and authority requirements (e.g., DEWA, DM, and DCD).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
