Technical Engineer (Offshore)

MID Construction Group is a Los Angeles-based multifamily development firm supported by a growing offshore technical team. We specialize in delivering high-quality, code-compliant residential projects across the United States. To strengthen our offshore technical operations, we are seeking an experienced Technical Civil Engineer / Architect who can work remotely and directly support US-based projects.

The Technical Civil Engineer / Architect (Offshore) will serve as a key technical resource for US multifamily projects, working closely with US-based project teams. This role focuses on technical reviews, code compliance, and mentoring offshore staff while ensuring that designs and construction documentation meet US and California standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review submittals, RFIs, drawings, and specifications for US-based projects.
• Provide technical recommendations and preliminary approvals before final US review.
• Support AOC (Architect–Owner–Consultant) meetings by preparing technical inputs and documentation.
• Ensure work aligns with US and California Building Codes (CBC).
• Provide detailed technical guidance to offshore drafting and engineering staff.
• Train and mentor junior engineers, designers, and drafters.
• Coordinate remotely with US-based project managers, engineers, and architects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Professional license preferred (US PE/RA is a plus but not required for offshore).
• Minimum 5+ years of experience supporting US construction projects, ideally multifamily.
• Strong knowledge of US construction standards and California Building Code (CBC).
• Experience reviewing submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and construction documentation.
• Familiarity with US permitting and inspection processes.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Pay: From E£571.00 per hour
