Technical Lead – Generators & Temporary Power

Toolsa Tools & Machinery Hire is looking for a highly experienced technical professional with strong expertise in power generators and temporary power systems.

This is not a basic electrician role.

We are looking for someone who can technically support generator rental projects, understand complex client requirements, and provide complete temporary power solutions.

Responsibilities

• Handle technical enquiries related to generators and temporary power
• Perform load calculations and generator sizing
• Design temporary power setups and cable layouts
• Understand and configure synchronisation systems
• Work with ATS panels, DB boxes, AMF systems, and electrical distribution
• Plan and supervise commissioning and earthing
• Attend site visits and technical meetings
• Support the sales team with technical expertise
• Review client requirements, drawings, and specifications
• Coordinate installations and troubleshoot electrical issues
• Ensure safe and proper temporary power operations on site

Requirements

• Strong experience in generators and temporary power systems
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems
• Experience with synchronisation panels, ATS, DBs, and commissioning
• Ability to calculate loads and size cables/generators properly
• Experience in rental industry or temporary power projects is highly preferred
• Ability to communicate confidently with consultants and clients
• UAE experience preferred
• Driving license preferred

Preferred Background

Candidates with experience in generator rental companies, temporary power providers, event power companies, or MEP temporary power projects are strongly preferred.
