Senior Electrical Lead – Agricultural & Industrial Specialist

Location: North East (Northumberland, County Durham, North Yorkshire)

Salary: £48,000 – £55,000 DOE + Performance Bonus + New High-Spec Van

The Company

Equinox Contracts Ltd is a specialist Agricultural and Industrial electrical firm. We aren't your typical domestic contractors. We are a NICEIC Approved engineering partner for the North East’s farming community and industrial sectors. We specialize in complex infrastructure: milking parlours, grain handling systems, industrial control panels, and hazardous area compliance.

The Role: "The Lead on the Ground"

We are looking for a Technical Lead who is ready to step away from the faceless corporate world and take ownership of high-value projects. As a Director-led firm, we don't micromanage. We provide the best gear and high-margin work; you provide the engineering expertise and site leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Ownership: Leading the installation and maintenance of milking parlours, crop drying systems, and three-phase industrial distribution.

• Technical Problem Solving: Troubleshooting complex faults in rugged agricultural and industrial environments.

• Compliance: Ensuring all work meets NICEIC Approved Contractor standards (including high-level Testing & Inspection).

• Client Relations: Acting as the professional face of the business with estate managers and farm owners.

The Candidate

You are likely a Senior or "Approved" Sparky who is tired of nationwide travel and "house bashing." You take pride in a perfect control panel and speak the language of engineering.

Requirements:

• Qualifications: JIB Gold Card (Approved Electrician status), 18th Edition, and C&G 2391 (Testing & Inspection) are essential.

• Experience: Strong background in 3-phase systems and industrial containment. (Agricultural experience is a major plus, but high-level industrial experience is the foundation).

• Mindset: Autonomous, organized, and reliable. You treat every site like it’s your own business.

• Base Salary: £48,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience).
