The Technical Manager – Joinery Draftsman is responsible for leading the technical and drafting team in producing detailed shop drawings, material specifications, and cutting lists for bespoke joinery and interior fit-out projects. The role ensures drawings meet design intent, production capabilities, and project timelines, maintaining high standards of accuracy and coordination across departments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drawing & Design Management

• Supervise and review detailed joinery shop drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design intent and site measurements.
• Manage the drafting team to deliver all drawings (plans, elevations, sections, and details) according to project schedules.
• Liaise with designers, architects, and consultants for approvals and technical clarifications.
• Ensure CAD/BIM standards, drawing templates, and file management procedures are followed.

2. Technical Coordination

• Interpret architectural and interior design drawings into manufacturing-ready joinery drawings.
• Provide technical support to production, site, and procurement teams.
• Review materials and hardware specifications for technical suitability and availability.
• Coordinate with the project team to resolve design and production issues promptly.

3. Quality & Process Control

• Conduct technical reviews before drawings are issued for production.
• Standardize joinery construction methods, materials, and detailing across projects.
• Support continuous improvement of drafting and technical processes.

4. Team Management

• Lead, train, and mentor a team of joinery draftsmen.
• Allocate workloads and monitor performance against project deadlines.
• Ensure proper documentation and drawing revision control.

5. Project Support

• Attend project meetings for technical discussions and design coordination.
• Support tender and estimation teams with technical input when required.
• Ensure all shop drawings are aligned with project specifications and client expectations.

Pay: AED12,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
