Technical Manager

Key Responsibilities

Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance:

• Manage and lead the technical team, including Draftsmen and Technical Coordinators, to produce accurate and timely shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and material submittals.
• Review all design and tender documents, identifying discrepancies, potential technical issues, and value engineering opportunities prior to project commencement.
• Ensure all technical designs and installation methods adhere strictly to local building codes, regulations, and project specifications.
• Oversee the technical review and approval process for all materials, samples, and mock-ups.

Project & Site Coordination:

• Collaborate closely with the Project Management, Design, and Procurement teams to maintain seamless technical communication across all project phases.
• Provide technical support and direction to site teams to resolve complex installation challenges and technical queries (RFIs) efficiently.
• Manage the detailed coordination of all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) services integration within the interior fit-out components.

Process Improvement & Leadership:

• Establish and maintain high standards for technical documentation, drawing templates, and quality control procedures.
• Conduct regular internal training for the technical team on new materials, industry standards, and software updates.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years specifically in a technical management role within interior fit-out.
• Expert proficiency in AutoCAD and strong working knowledge of other relevant software (e.g., Revit, SketchUp).
• In-depth understanding of construction materials, installation methods, quality control standards, and health and safety regulations pertinent to interior fit-out.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month
