Technical Manager

Job Description

• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical proposals.
• Ensure compliance with contract specifications, approved drawings, and local authority regulations.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and authorities for technical approvals.
• Resolve technical issues and discrepancies during design and execution stages.
• Provide technical guidance to project managers, engineers, and site teams.
• Participate in project planning, value engineering, and constructability reviews.
• Support tendering and estimation teams with technical inputs and clarifications.
• Assist in variation evaluation and technical justification.
• Preferred Arabic speaking candidate

UAE Experience: Minimum 8 Years
Salary AED : 15 -18 k

Technical & Design Management

• Review client requirements, drawings, and specifications to ensure technical feasibility
• Manage design development, shop drawings, and material submittals
• Coordinate architectural, MEP, joinery, and specialist subcontractor drawings
• Ensure drawings comply with local authority regulations, codes, and standards
• Identify design risks, clashes, and constructability issues and propose solutions

Project Coordination

• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and QS teams
• Support project planning, sequencing, and method statements
• Attend design coordination and technical meetings with clients, consultants, and authorities
• Provide technical support during construction and resolve site issues

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all technical deliverables meet quality standards and contract requirements
• Review mock-ups, samples, and material approvals
• Ensure compliance with HSE, fire, and authority approval requirements
• Assist with inspections, snagging, and final handover documentation

Cost & Time Control

• Support value engineering without compromising design intent
• Ensure technical solutions align with budget and project timelines
• Review variations from a technical standpoint

Team Leadership

• Lead and manage design coordinators, draftsmen, and technical engineers
• Review and approve technical outputs before submission
• Provide guidance and mentoring to the technical team

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or related field
• 8–12 years’ experience in fit-out / interior contracting
• Strong knowledge of commercial, retail, hospitality, and office fit-out projects
• Proven experience in managing multi-disciplinary drawings and site coordination

Technical Skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit/BIM knowledge preferred)
• Strong understanding of fit-out materials, joinery details, finishes, and MEP integration
• Knowledge of authority approval processes (Fire, Municipality, Civil Defense, etc.)
• Ability to interpret contracts, specifications, and BOQs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED18,000.00 per month
