Position Overview:
The Technical Marketing Engineer bridges the gap between engineering and marketing, leveraging deep technical expertise in structural engineering software to develop compelling technical content, support marketing initiatives, and enable customer-facing teams. This role is essential for translating complex product features into clear value propositions and supporting the successful launch and adoption of RISA’s solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews, and studies) in addition to coordinating with marketing, sales, and product teams to create the following types of content that promote RISA products:
    • Technical articles focused on RISA software products
    • Video content focused on RISA software products and structural engineering topics
    • Case Study write-ups for customer projects
    • RISA customer company spotlights/profiles
    • Various website collateral and content (new features, product descriptions, updates)
    • Training Materials
  • Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
  • Write clear marketing copy to promote our products/services
  • Create graphics from various RISA software products to support written content
  • Work directly with sales and marketing teams to create campaigns and ensure marketing content meets the needs of the sales organization
  • Develop and present company and product demonstrations at association meetings/conferences
  • Travel to conferences, customer offices, and the RISA office about 10-15% of the time.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent industry experience
  • Prior published written or video content preferred
  • 3+ years of structural design engineering experience
  • PE license (not required but preferred)
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be confident speaking to audiences in person and over the internet.
  • Team player, self-motivated, and positive "can-do" attitude.
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills
  • Multi-task between several projects and other tasks at the same time
  • Thrive in a team working environment as well as confident working independently
  • Knowledge of HubSpot Content Hub is preferred
