Mandatory Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Experience: A minimum of 15+ years of experience in the building construction industry, with at least 8-10 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Head of Technical Office, Chief Engineer, Engineering Manager) directly managing a large technical team within the UAE or GCC.
  • Project Portfolio: Proven and demonstrable experience leading technical teams on UAE-based high-rise projects in Dubai is mandatory.
  • Leadership & Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, people management, and communication skills. A proven track record of building, mentoring, and leading high-performing technical teams. Must be a strategic decision-maker and a proactive problem-solver.

About the Role:

We are seeking a senior-level Head of Technical Office to provide strategic leadership and direct management for our company's entire Technical Office team on a prestigious high-rise construction project in Dubai. This is a critical executive role for a proven leader who will be responsible for the technical excellence, performance, and output of the department. The successful candidate will be the company's top technical authority, ensuring all engineering, design, and submission activities align with project specifications, budgets, and stringent regulatory standards, including those of all local authorities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Departmental Leadership & Strategy: Provide direct leadership, strategic direction, and day-to-day management for the company's entire Technical Office department. Set performance goals, define workflows, and ensure the team delivers high-quality output on time and within budget.
  • Team Management & Development: Lead, mentor, coach, and manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers, draftsmen, and technical staff. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, conduct performance reviews, and identify training needs for team development.
  • Technical Governance & Final Approval: Serve as the company's final approving authority for all technical submissions, including design layouts, shop drawings, material submittals, and calculations, ensuring full compliance with project specifications and local authorities.
  • Stakeholder & Client Liaison: Act as the primary technical representative and point of contact for clients, consultants, and Dubai-based authorities. Lead high-level technical meetings and negotiations.
  • Resource & Process Management: Oversee departmental resource allocation, workload planning, and the implementation of efficient processes and best practices to maximize team productivity and quality control.
  • Project Integration: Collaborate closely with Project Management, Construction, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless technical integration from tender to project completion. Coordinate with Quantity Surveyors on all technical aspects of payments, variations, and change orders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to AED25,000.00 per month
