
Technical / Operations Assistant
Key Responsibilities
Job Location: Mozambique (Please apply if you are ready to relocate)

Hands-on experience on Landing Crafts and Offshore support vessels

Assist in daily technical monitoring of Landing Crafts and offshore support vessels.

Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
-
Monitor machinery performance, breakdown reports, and downtime analysis.
-
Ensure statutory and class certificates are valid and up to date.
-
Coordinate procurement of spares, stores, and technical services.
-
Support dry-docking and repair planning when required.
-
Ensure vessels operate as per client schedule and contractual commitments.
-
Coordinate mobilization, demobilization, and project execution.
-
Liaise with clients, charterers, port agents, and suppliers.
-
Monitor fuel usage, operational costs, and efficiency.
-
Ensure compliance with flag state and local maritime regulations.
-
Act as focal point between Head Office and site operations.
-
Support crew with technical and operational requirements.
-
Coordinate crew changes, documentation, and logistics support.
-
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
-
Track vessel uptime and performance KPIs.
-
Ensure adherence to company HSE standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or related marine discipline.
Must have skills
-
Hands on experience on Landing Crafts and Offshore support vessels
-
Strong understanding of marine machinery systems and vessel maintenance.
-
Knowledge of statutory and class certification requirements.
-
Experience coordinating with ship managers, owners, and clients.
-
Ability to work independently in remote/project locations.
-
Willingness to relocate/work in Mozambique.
-
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Good to have skills

Experience in offshore support operations.
-
Knowledge of procurement and vendor management.
-
Budget monitoring and cost control experience.
-
Familiarity with Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS).
-
Experience handling multi-national crew.
-
Knowledge of marine safety standards (ISM, ISPS).
-
Basic contract understanding and commercial awareness.
-
Portuguese language skills (advantage for Mozambique operations).

Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
