Job Title: Specialist - Technical PAM Change Manager

Role Summary

The Specialist - Technical PAM Change Manager is responsible for managing and executing technical changes related to Privileged Access Management (PAM) systems. This role ensures that all changes are planned, tested, implemented, and documented in accordance with security policies, change governance frameworks, and operational best practices, minimizing risk and business disruption.

Key Responsibilities

PAM Change Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute changes within PAM platforms (e.g., CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea).

  • Assess change requests for risk, impact, and compliance with security policies.

  • Ensure all PAM changes follow formal change management processes (ITIL or equivalent).

Technical Implementation

  • Perform configuration changes, upgrades, patching, and integrations within PAM tools.

  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams for seamless execution.

  • Maintain system integrity, availability, and performance during changes.

Testing & Validation

  • Develop and execute test plans for all PAM-related changes.

  • Validate functionality, security controls, and rollback procedures.

  • Ensure proper sign-offs before production deployment.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to internal security standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain audit-ready documentation for all changes.

  • Participate in audits and provide evidence of change controls and approvals.

Risk & Impact Management

  • Conduct risk assessments and define mitigation strategies.

  • Implement rollback and contingency plans for all changes.

  • Minimize downtime and operational impact during implementations.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed documentation including change records, procedures, and runbooks.

  • Provide regular reports on change activities, risks, and outcomes.

  • Update knowledge bases and SOPs.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with security, IT operations, DevOps, and business stakeholders.

  • Communicate change schedules, impacts, and outcomes effectively.

  • Support incident and problem management related to PAM changes.

Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in IT security, infrastructure, or identity & access management.

  • Hands-on experience with PAM solutions (e.g., CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea).

  • Strong understanding of change management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).

Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of PAM architecture and privileged account lifecycle management.

  • Experience with Windows/Linux administration.

  • Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).

  • Understanding of Active Directory, LDAP, and identity systems.

  • Experience with ticketing and change management tools (ServiceNow, Jira).

Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • High attention to detail and documentation discipline.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a controlled and structured manner.

Preferred Certifications
  • ITIL Foundation or higher

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

  • CyberArk or other PAM vendor certification.
