Technical Program Manager - Product

Position Summary:

This role reports to the Product Management Leader. It will serve as the connective tissue between our Product, Engineering, Sales, Finance, and Service Delivery teams to translate complex business workflows into well-scoped software programs and ensuring they ship on time and get adopted.

You are equally comfortable whiteboarding a data pipeline with an engineer and walking a sales leader through how a new qualification tool changes their workflow.

Responsibilities & Duties

Software Program Delivery (~40% of time)

· Own timely delivery of Redaptive's internal project development tools , from requirements definition through engineering execution, QA, and rollout

· Manage program plans, sprint schedules, release milestones, and cross-team dependencies across concurrent workstreams

· Translate product requirements into clearly scoped engineering workstreams with well-defined acceptance criteria and success metrics

· Proactively surface risks, resolve blockers, and escalate tradeoffs that require product-level decisions

Stakeholder & Requirements Alignment (~25% of time)

· Partner with Sales, Finance, Engineering, and Service Delivery to surface tool needs and translate them into prioritized, actionable program scopes

· Bridge business process owners and engineering teams, ensuring what gets built actually matches how teams work and what customers need

· Facilitate discovery sessions, workflow documentation, and requirements reviews across functions

· Own the feedback loop from tool launch through adoption: track usage, gather input, and drive iteration cycles

Process & Workflow Design (~20% of time)

· Document current-state project development workflows (e.g., deal qualification, safe harbor tracking, BESS site scoring, M&V reporting) and identify where tooling can reduce manual effort, errors, or cycle time

· Define data standards, integration requirements, and quality gates for new tools before engineering engagement begins

· Support change management when new tools replace existing manual processes, including training materials, rollout sequencing, and adoption tracking

· Partner with Product on process gaps surfaced by GTM or operational teams and help scope the software response

Reporting & Portfolio Visibility (~15% of time)

· Maintain a clear, current view of the software development portfolio , what is in flight, what is blocked, and what is on the horizon

· Provide the Head of Product and cross-functional stakeholders with regular, concise status updates and risk flags

· Track post-launch adoption and usage metrics; translate findings into actionable product or process recommendations

· Contribute to lessons-learned reviews that feed back into program planning standards and product roadmap prioritization

Required Abilities & Skills

·Deep experience managing software development programs in energy, cleantech, infrastructure, or similarly complex operational domains

·Demonstrated ability to drive software tools that serve internal operations, complex deal workflows, or data-intensive business processes

·Comfortable working across the full stack of a program: requirements, sprint management, QA, rollout, and adoption

·Strong written communication skills

·Proficiency with agile/scrum delivery and common program management tooling (Jira, Confluence, or equivalent)

·Enough familiarity with Salesforce/CRM integrations, web application development, and Databricks (or similar) to be a credible partner to engineers and to ask the right questions

·Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

·Cross-functional leadership skills with proven ability to align stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Engineering, and Operations

Education & Experience

·6–9 years in technical program management, product operations, or related roles; energy or cleantech experience strongly preferred

·Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field required; advanced degree a plus

·PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent program management certification preferred

·Experience with energy project development workflows (e.g., qualification, M&V, solar/BESS deal structuring, incentive/tax credit tracking) a meaningful differentiator

Travel

10 % travel expected, primarily to industry events and internal meetings
