Technical Project Manager – Equity Derivatives Technology
Millennium is a top tier global hedge fund with a strong commitment to leveraging innovations in technology and data science to solve complex problems for the business. The Risk Technology team is looking for Technical Project Manager (TPM) role supporting Equity derivatives business, you will be responsible for requirements documentation, project delivery management, and collaboration with all teams involved in the software development lifecycle. You will work closely with Engineering, Risk, and Trading Business Management to deliver projects for equity derivatives business.
Principal Responsibilities:

Lead the execution of the equity derivatives risk platform by interfacing and collaborating closely with stakeholders across all levels, from Engineering, Risk and Trading Business management, providing clear communication and executive-level updates.

Collaborate with Risk Managers and Portfolio Managers to provide demonstrations of risk tools & API for data access, ensuring a clear understanding of their functionality, applications & best practices.

Develop and maintain Book of Work (BOW) featuring tech deliverables based on common components mapped to user requirements and prioritize them in coordination with risk analysts and engineers.

Champion Agile practices by driving functional end-user testing and incorporating continuous feedback loops throughout the SDLC process. Ensure iterative improvements to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business needs.

Maintain business requirements in Confluence, technical specifications in JIRA, and enforce project governance across initiatives and releases.

Assist development teams by resolving implementation questions through consultation with risk and trading analysts.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
-
7+ years of relevant experience in business analysis or product development, interfacing with business users and technologists in investment banking or buy side firms.

3+ years of prior experience and deep understanding of equity derivatives front to back-office workflows, including product structures, analytics, and market data integration.
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or related field.
Ability to perform in-depth data analysis and help risk managers with ad-hoc data requirement for research and analysis leveraging relevant experience in finance.-
Strategic thinking and the ability to connect technical solutions to broader business objectives.

Knowledge of SQL, database tools, and working knowledge of python to create notebooks to demonstrate API/Library data usage to users would be a strong plus.

Experience coordinating projects through the development lifecycle.

Experience with project management and generative AI system to create detailed workflows.

Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with an independent/self-starter work ethic.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
