Technical Project Manager – IES Project
Location: Hybrid (50% onsite) – Albany, NY
Key Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and maintain the full project schedule in Microsoft Project, including dependencies, critical path, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Apply SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) to manage project phases including requirements, development, testing, and deployment.
- Communicate technical concepts, system impacts, and project updates clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, scope changes, and governance processes.
- Prepare status reports, dashboards, and executive-level updates for leadership and stakeholders.
- Partner closely with the Senior Program Manager to ensure alignment on project timelines, priorities, and strategic objectives.
Required Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of experience in technical project management.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Project, including schedule creation, maintenance, and dependency management.
- Strong understanding of SDLC processes and project governance frameworks.
- Ability to interpret technical information and collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
- Experience with system modernization projects (legacy system replacement) and/or government or Health & Human Services (HHS) programs.
Pay: $80.00 - $85.00 per day
