Technical Project Manager – IES Project

Location: Hybrid (50% onsite) – Albany, NY

Key Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and maintain the full project schedule in Microsoft Project, including dependencies, critical path, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Apply SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) to manage project phases including requirements, development, testing, and deployment.
• Communicate technical concepts, system impacts, and project updates clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, scope changes, and governance processes.
• Prepare status reports, dashboards, and executive-level updates for leadership and stakeholders.
• Partner closely with the Senior Program Manager to ensure alignment on project timelines, priorities, and strategic objectives.

Required Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of experience in technical project management.
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Project, including schedule creation, maintenance, and dependency management.
• Strong understanding of SDLC processes and project governance frameworks.
• Ability to interpret technical information and collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project management certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
• Experience with system modernization projects (legacy system replacement) and/or government or Health & Human Services (HHS) programs.

Pay: $80.00 - $85.00 per day
