Job Summary

We're looking for a versatile Technical Project Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for clients, overseeing every stage of the client lifecycle - from initial outreach and pitching to proposal development, project planning, execution, delivery, and ongoing reporting. In this role, you'll lead all client interactions, ensure seamless project success, and drive revenue growth by identifying opportunities to expand services with existing clients while pursuing new business. This position combines elements of sales, client management, project coordination, and strategic account development.

Starting part-time (with strong potential to transition to full-time based on performance), you'll work remotely with occasional in-person client meetings in the Orange County area. Ideal candidates are recent graduates or early-career professionals with 1-3 years of experience, a keen eye for design, and a semi-technical background to effectively bridge client visions with our overseas development team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full-Cycle Client Management: Lead all phases of client interactions, including initial contact, crafting compelling pitches and proposals, managing project timelines and execution, overseeing delivery, and providing detailed performance reporting. Conduct regular check-ins, website reviews, and satisfaction assessments to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Project Oversight and Coordination: Manage up to 10+ projects simultaneously (varying in size), coordinating with our overseas development team to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery. Review designs and development work, providing constructive feedback to align with client expectations and agency standards. Monitor project progress continuously, make detailed reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables, and communicate progress to clients.
  • Team Management: Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives and ensure accountability.
  • Design and Technical Review: Leverage your graphic design skills to evaluate and refine web designs in tools like Figma. Ensure projects maintain high creative and functional standards while incorporating basic technical oversight.
  • Operational Efficiency: Monitor project budgets, workflows, and timelines to keep initiatives on track, resolving issues swiftly to maintain client trust and project momentum.
  • Business Development: Drive new business through targeted outreach via lead generation, social media, networking events, email campaigns, and strategic partnerships. Convert leads into clients by promoting our web design services and running effective marketing initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in account management, project management, web development, sales, or a related field.
  • Semi-technical proficiency, including hands-on experience with WordPress and Elementor; basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript;
  • Understanding of SEO fundamentals, hosting services, and digital marketing tools.
  • Strong graphic design abilities, with expertise in Figma for conducting design reviews and critiques.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and methods.
  • Ambitious, creative mindset with a sharp eye for design, a results-driven attitude, and a passion for client success.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, with flexibility for occasional in-person client meetings in Orange County, CA.
  • A design portfolio showcasing your creative work is highly encouraged.
  • Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Baseline salary: $28.00 to $32.00/hour
  • Revenue-sharing incentives available after one year, based on performance and contributions to company growth (details determined collaboratively).
  • Position starts part-time (15 - 20 hours) without upfront benefits or perks, with potential evolution to full-time (40 hours) as the role expands.
