We are seeking an experienced Lead Technical Safety Engineer to lead Technical Safety, Loss Prevention, and Process Safety engineering activities during the FEED and EPC phases of major Oil & Gas projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading technical safety studies, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and third-party consultants, ensuring compliance with client and international standards, and integrating safety requirements throughout the project design lifecycle. Previous ADNOC and Offshore project experience is highly preferred.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead Technical Safety, Loss Prevention, and Process Safety engineering activities during FEED and EPC phases

Manage and review technical safety deliverables including Safety Philosophy, Fire Protection Philosophy, ESD Philosophy, Hazardous Area Classification, and Fire & Gas Detection studies

Coordinate and manage third-party consultants for HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, QRA, Bowtie, Fire & Explosion, EER, and other safety studies

Review and ensure timely closure of recommendations arising from safety studies and design reviews

Perform and oversee consequence modeling, fire and explosion analysis, and quantitative risk assessments

Lead multidisciplinary safety design reviews to ensure safety requirements are incorporated into process, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and layout designs

Review passive and active fire protection systems, emergency shutdown systems, firefighting systems, and Safety Critical Elements (SCEs)

Ensure compliance with ADNOC requirements, international codes, standards, and client specifications

Interface with clients, licensors, engineering disciplines, and third-party consultants on technical safety matters

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the Technical Safety team throughout project execution
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Process Engineering, Safety Engineering, or related discipline

Minimum 12–18 years of experience in Process Safety, Loss Prevention, and Technical Safety Engineering within the Oil & Gas industry

Strong experience leading Technical Safety activities during FEED and EPC project phases

Proven experience coordinating third-party safety studies including HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, LOPA, QRA, Bowtie, and consequence modeling

Previous experience on ADNOC projects is highly preferred

Offshore Oil & Gas project experience is preferred

Strong knowledge of international standards including API, NFPA, IEC, ISO, and ADNOC Engineering Standards

Experience with risk assessment and consequence modeling tools such as PHAST, SAFETI, FLACS, or equivalent

Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and technical report writing skills
