Sales Engineer — Quality Control Testing Equipment

About the Role
We’re hiring a Sales Engineer to drive technical sales of quality‑control and laboratory testing equipment across the GCC. You will sell and support Universal Testing Machines (UTM), Environmental Chambers, analytical instruments, MFI/viscometers, rheometers, and related test systems to manufacturers, laboratories, and certification bodies. This role blends technical credibility, consultative selling, and hands‑on customer support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end sales cycles for QC and materials testing equipment: qualify leads, prepare technical proposals, demo solutions, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
- Build and maintain technical relationships with R&D, QC, QA managers, and lab heads in plastics, polymers, composites, metals, automotive, and aerospace sectors.
- Deliver on-site and virtual product demonstrations, proof-of-concept trials, and application testing using UTM, environmental chambers, and analytical instruments.
- Translate customer test requirements into product specifications, configurations, and value-based proposals.
- Prepare technical quotations, compliant tender responses, and ROI/total cost of ownership analyses.
- Coordinate installation, IQ/OQ support, and commissioning with service teams; act as technical escalation for complex site conditions.
- Provide customer training, after-sales technical support, and follow-up to ensure performance and warranty satisfaction.
- Track market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory/standards changes (ASTM, ISO, IEC, MIL‑STD) to inform product positioning.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and pipeline updates.
Required Experience and Skills
- 2-3 years’ experience selling technical laboratory or QC test equipment, with proven success in B2B/industrial sales.
- Hands‑on familiarity with Universal Testing Machines (tensile/compression/flexural), environmental test chambers (thermal, humidity, cycling), and at least one class of analytical instruments (e.g., DSC, TGA, FTIR, GC, HPLC) or rheology/MFI equipment.
- Strong technical understanding of materials testing methods and standards (ASTM, ISO, IEC preferred).
- Ability to run or interpret basic test demonstrations and advise on test methods and acceptance criteria.
- Excellent consultative selling, proposal writing, and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable delivering technical presentations and training to engineering and lab teams.
- Experience managing installations, commissioning, and coordinating service engineers.
- Fluent English; Arabic or another regional language is an advantage.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently across customer sites.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent technical discipline.
- Technical certifications or training related to materials testing, lab equipment maintenance, or standards compliance are a plus.
