Overview

The SEO Analyst is responsible for driving measurable organic growth through data driven insights and technical excellence. This role combines analytical depth, creative problem solving, and strong collaboration skills to evaluate website performance, identify opportunities, and optimize search visibility. The ideal is excellent at translating data into actionable recommendations that align with overall marketing and business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Analysis

  • Conduct comprehensive keyword research, competitive analysis, and SEO audits to inform content and technical strategies.
  • Analyze website performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
  • Develop SEO strategies that align with business objectives and integrate with broader marketing efforts.
  • Track, measure, and report on KPIs such as rankings, organic traffic, click-through rates, and conversions.

Technical Optimization

  • Audit and monitor website architecture, crawlability, indexing, and page speed.
  • Provide actionable technical SEO recommendations in collaboration with developers and content teams.
  • Ensure implementation of schema markup, canonical tags, redirects, and other on-page best practices.

Content Optimization

  • Partner with content creators to develop SEO content strategies and optimize existing pages for search intent.
  • Ensure meta tags, headers, internal linking, and keyword placement follow current best practices.
  • Identify content gaps and opportunities to increase topical authority and organic reach.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with marketing, development, and creative teams to ensure SEO is integrated into all digital initiatives.
  • Stay current with algorithm updates, emerging trends, and industry tools.
  • Mentor and support junior team members or SEO specialists in executing tasks aligned with strategy.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2 years of SEO experience.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, BrightLocal, Google Merchant Center, and AdvancedWebRanking.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present clear insights.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and website CMS platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable and available for regular video meetings with clients and team members via Zoom.

Preferred:

  • Experience collaborating with developers on technical SEO solutions.
  • Familiarity with GA4 and advanced reporting dashboards.
  • Understanding of content strategy, link-building best practices, and local SEO.
  • Google Analytics or SEO certification(s).

Success Indicators

  • Consistent improvement in organic traffic and visibility for target keywords.
  • Effective collaboration resulting in timely, high quality implementation of recommendations.
  • Clear, data informed insights driving strategic marketing decisions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
