Technical Specialist/Engineer - Surgical Robot - Gulf Area
Position Overview
As a Technical Specialist/Engineer for Surgical Robots, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, maintenance, and support of our robotic surgical systems. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our robotic technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- System Installation and Configuration: Lead the installation and configuration of robotic surgical systems in healthcare institutions, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and guidelines; provide technical expertise during the setup process to optimize system performance.
- Troubleshooting and Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to robotic systems through remote support or on-site intervention; collaborate with Clinical team to provide timely and effective solutions to end-users.
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for robotic systems to minimize downtime and ensure continuous functionality; conduct routine inspections and updates to prevent potential issues.
- Training and Documentation: Deliver technical training to healthcare professionals and internal staff on the use and maintenance of robotic surgical systems; create and update technical documentation, manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaboration with R&D: Work closely with the research and development team to provide insights and feedback from a technical perspective; participate in testing and validation of new software and hardware releases.
- Quality Assurance: Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance processes for robotic systems; assist in the investigation and resolution of any technical issues related to product quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field; advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in technical support or engineering roles in the medical device industry.
- Familiarity with robotic systems and control systems is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel for on-site technical support and installations.
