Technical Support Specialist

Job Description:

Deraya University is seeking a proficient Technical Support Specialist with a deep understanding of technologies commonly used in academic settings, expertise in audio-visual devices, excellent communication skills for student support, and the ability to manage and feed data into our systems effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-step technical support to students, faculty, and staff on a wide range of technologies and software applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to audio-visual devices, classroom technology, and computer systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to applications of end-user side.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of audio-visual equipment and technology solutions.
• Assist in data management tasks, including inputting and maintaining accurate records in university systems.
• Conduct training sessions for end-users on technology tools and systems.

Qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Comprehensive knowledge of technologies commonly used in educational environments.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting audio-visual devices and classroom technology during presentations and live events.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Experience in data entry and management.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Patience and empathy when dealing with users facing technical issues.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing technology and user needs.
