Technical Trainer/Instructional Designer

Contract Through June 30, 2026
Location: Everett, MA (Hybrid – 1 day on-site per week)
Hours Per Week: 37.5

We are seeking a Technical Trainer / Instructional Designer to support the implementation and training of a large-scale financial assistance software system. The role involves developing engaging training materials, conducting both in-person and virtual sessions, and helping users understand system workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deliver training for diverse user groups.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, simple instructions.
• Create inclusive and accessible learning materials.
• Conduct live and virtual training using Microsoft Teams, GoToMeeting, and Zoom.
• Develop self-paced e-learning modules using Microsoft 365 and Articulate (or similar tools).
• Create user guides, training manuals, and job aids.
• Manage support tickets and escalate issues as needed.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess training needs and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in technical training or instructional design.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Articulate or similar e-learning tools.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methods.
• Experience working with diverse audiences, including those with limited English proficiency.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
• Understanding of fiscal workflows or public program systems.

Preferred:

• Experience in public sector or human services systems.
• Familiarity with CMS tools and Jira.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
