Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer – RFE Response Specialist to join our immigration law team. This position focuses on preparing Request for Evidence (RFE) response packets for employment-based immigration cases, including NIW, EB-1A, and EB-1B petitions.

Our clients are researchers, physicians, scientists, and professionals in specialized fields. The successful candidate will work closely with attorneys and clients to analyze USCIS RFEs, prepare persuasive technical narratives, organize supporting evidence, and ensure timely submission of comprehensive RFE responses.

This role may also involve legal assistant duties, including preparation of I-140 and I-485 filings, depending on the candidate’s immigration knowledge and interest in developing immigration case preparation skills.

Responsibilities

Review USCIS RFEs and assist in developing response strategies.
Draft and edit technical statements, support letters, and RFE response documents.
Communicate with clients to collect information and supporting documentation.
Review scientific, medical, and professional achievements and present them effectively.
Organize and prepare complete RFE response packets for USCIS filing.
Assist with preparation of immigration forms and case documents, including I-140 and I-485, as needed.
Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to manage case deadlines.

Qualifications

Excellent technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Ability to understand and summarize complex technical or scientific information.
Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Experience with scientific writing, research, technical documentation, or similar fields preferred.
Prior immigration experience (NIW, EB-1, I-140, RFE responses) is a plus but not required.

Pay: $4,200.00 - $4,500.00 per month
