Technical Writer / Business Analyst / Trainer - Remote

OM Group, Inc. is seeking a versatile Technical Writer / Business Analyst / Trainer to support the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). This hybrid role involves gathering requirements, producing user-friendly documentation and delivering structured training to ensure smooth adoption of enterprise IT systems. The ideal candidate has experience working with DoD stakeholders, creating clear technical content, and facilitating end-user learning in IT transformation environments.


Responsibilities
  • Develop technical documentation including user guides, FAQs, and online help content for Oracle APEX applications
  • Collaborate with SMEs to gather and document functional requirements
  • Translate business needs into clear specifications and training content
  • Design and deliver training sessions for diverse user groups, from onboarding to refresher training
  • Produce training collateral (manuals, quick reference guides, presentations) and maintain version control
  • Provide ongoing user support through embedded tools and responsive training updates
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts and ensure alignment with IT and cybersecurity standards

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3–7 years of combined experience in technical writing, business analysis, or training
  • Strong documentation and analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices and collaborative IT projects
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to work with technical and non-technical users
  • Active security clearance
  • Expected compensation: $80,000 to $90,000 a year
  • Preferred qualifications below:
  • Familiarity with Oracle APEX or PL/SQL.
  • Familiarity with USACE Construction Management, Project Management and/or Financial Management/Budget processes and systems
  • Background in IT service management or process improvement
