Position Summary:

Contiem is seeking a contract Technical Writer to update and deliver updated documentation through client projects. This is a client-facing role requiring consulting and subject-matter expertise, underpinned by a strong delivery track record. This is a temporary contract role with an on-site requirement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Participate as a client-facing member of a project team.
• Act as lead writer on documentation project either as a lone writer or as a part of a team.
• Gather information from source files and subject matter expert (SME) interviews.
• Ensure documents are accurate and follow best practices for writing technical documentation.
• Develop new documents and update existing documents as required.

Experience and Skills:

• U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor's degree in technical writing, journalism, communications, or related field.
• 5+ years' experience in technical writing with technical writing being your primary job function
• Experience with IOMs for industrial, manufacturing, or consumer products.
• Experience with researching and gathering relevant technical data from subject matter experts such as engineers, developers, and programmers, as well as from internal documents.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and general business communication skills.
• Experience working independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Demonstrated success working in an environment driven by budget, scope, and deadlines across multiple clients/project.

Work Hours & Location:

On-site during standard business hours of operation in Louisville, Kentucky.
