Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. Saber Power Services seeks a professional, dedicated individual with a positive outlook for our Technician opening in Charlotte, NC.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist and perform electrical testing services on power apparatus, substations, and switchgear included (but not limited to) the following:
  • Protective relaying and relaying systems
  • Circuit Breakers
  • Power Transformers
  • Current and Potential Transformers
  • Meters, Transducers, and Power system metering
  • Power Cables
  • Grounding Systems
  • Motors and Motor Starters
  • Station Batteries and Chargers
  • Alarm systems and Annunciators
  • Personal Protective Equipment
• Always make safety a top priority, realizing that the company has Zero Tolerance for those who do otherwise
• Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.

Qualifications:

• AAS in Electrical or Electronics Technology or equivalent experience in the high voltage industry
• 0-4 years’ experience in the high voltage industry
• Skills:

• Good mathematical skills required
• Good communication skills required
• Computer literate in MS Office suite
• Ability to travel 50% required
• Power DB knowledge a plus
• Valid driver’s license
